Contents Page Update
Below is a download of my contents page so far. I have changed, added and manipulated a wide range of features to do with my contents page. As you can see below, since my last idea of the contents post, I have changed the title from 'Contents' to 'This Week'. I feel that I have added my own touch on the page instead of the typical contents page by changing the title - making it more personal to the reader, especially if the reader is apart of the active audience. As you can see, I have followed the house style of the title by adding a dot (.) - relating both this page with the front cover.
I have made sections that inform the reader under the sub titles of 'News, 'Live Gigs' and also 'WH Reviews'. Firstly, I have again followed the house style feature by adding a dot on the end of the sub-title. Furthermore, I have shortened the 'Woodhouse. Reviews' to 'WH. Reviews' due to the length of the magazine name - regular readers, or even passive audiences, of the product will be able to interpret this sub-title when viewing the review page, where it will state in full 'Woodhouse. Reviews'.
I have followed a convention of implementing the page number into the images or sub section by creating a white rectangle shape and adding the number from a text box.
Another convention that I have adapted in the house style is the use of faint lines that have been reduced in opacity to blend in with the layout of the page. These lines help separate the sections and images of the page, making it easier for the reader to process and overlook as a whole.
I have made the images the main features of the magazine by enlarging them to an appropriate size.
